We are back in Alaska. For the last time on the trip. Hyder is a unique little place. It is on the southern end of the panhandle of Alaska and only accessible by boat (apparently a nasty ride), plane (the flights are on the mail plane that comes in twice a week in the summer and almost never in the winter (weather...), or on a road through British Columbia. We drove! And stopped for a middle of the street photo op. Shows how much traffic there is! (There is no US border crossing here- just a Canadian one on the way back.)
This funny woman offered to take a family photo and made us pose.
