There are two routes through Canada to Alaska- The Alaska Highway (or Alcan) and the Cassiar. Since we drove both ways we planned the trip to include both routes. The Cassiar has historically been the rougher more remote route. It's narrow and winding but has some great animal viewing and views. It's also the only way to get to Hyder, the US town on the southern tip of Alaksa.
