The reindeer are in the process of shedding their winter coat. The light hairs are guard hairs and are hollow. They create a great insulated layer and provide camouflage in the snow. As they shed they reveal the much softer hair on their summer coat.
There's a good lookin group ! I am continually impressed in the differing temperatures in out perspective locations . It's really, really hot here in NC and apparently not the same there. Nice to see you all enjoying yourselves.
