We decided to go exploring and took advantage of the long day. The pedestrian bring crosses the Yukon River and leads to a whole network of trails. We were hoping to see some bears by the river.
There were fitness stops along the way.
This trail loops through the pet cemetery. It was started in 1915 when one of the towns people buried his dog in the spot where he likes to chase rabbits. Now there are graves all over- some as recent as the 2010s, with markers, pictures, and inscriptions to beloved pets. This should be on Wacky, wild & weird, but it's not!
