Chetwynd is a tiny town at the junction of Hwy 97 and the cutoff to Hudson's Hope. Every June they have a chainsaw carving competition where carvers from around the work come to compete. They put the carvings on display in town until the competition next year. Since the carvings festival was last weekend, we saw the ones from 2023. There were also some that are permanent (like the sign and the bears). What amazing artistry and craftsmanship!
