Alaska Aviation Museum

Sam's choice. There is a large collection of cool airplanes and extensive history exhibits (they fill two hangars and a large outdoor space) about flying in Alaska. One of the most interesting ones was about the Japanese occupation of several of the Aleutian islands during WWII. The US also took over a few. They moved entire populations of native people so they could establish military strongholds and test nuclear weapons.

The kid play area is not just for kids!

F-15

A cleared out Alaska Air 737. They pack them with seats or cargo "igloos" or a combination of both.

There were several amphibious aircraft- essentially flying boats. On some of them the landing gear retracts into the side of the plane.
